My top 3 hacks for ADHD and ADD Gals

Listen, this is a gift and a curse. We have so many ideas! If only we could remember a single one!!! Well, as a certified ADD Baddie, I’ve got some tips. Here are my top 3 hacks for thriving while living in absolute chaos (our brains):


Write it down. WRITE IT DOWN!!!! Girl be so for real, you will not remember that! And you also won’t remember that you wrote it on the notes app!! You need paper and pen, vintage I know but trust me, that muscle connection of writing the task rewires our brains to actually have a faint memory of that task. I use my full focus planner like a journal sometimes. After I write it down I give my brain permission to off load the stress of remembering that task. Just remember to look at your planner every day. 


Focus periods with breaks built in. When I feel the focus coming on, I runnnnn to the nearest desk and get going. I like to do my focus sprints for about 3 hours in which I tackle my top 3 most important and rewarding tasks. Then I do something fun or else I combust. 


I am a sleepy girl and I don’t want to be dramatic but I do require 9-10 hours of sleep. If I don’t get those hours not only is my brain not in the club but I also get super moody (princess). Being intentional and serious about my sleep has really helped my days go as well as they could. 


I’m gonna do a fourth because it’s actually super integral to my process. I HAVE to workout or move my body in some way 3-4 times a week. This is a non-negotiable. Not only does this help my mood immensely, but it gets my nervous anxiety out allowing me to be more present and remember the things that are happening.
