Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back

I’d never heard the second part of that quote before, but now that I have, this quote makes so much more sense. As a Chismosa, or curious gal depending on where you’re from, asking questions is my part time gig.

If you’ve met me you know that conversations with me feel a lot like the interrogation rooms at the FBI. I want to know EVERYTHING, in great detail. So this quote never sat right with me. Curiosity is the most important quality a person can have. It’s why we discovered fire ( I think, I don’t know, I make blazers!), and why we have evolved intellectually at all (although maybe not lately, these phones are doing a number on me). The satisfaction that learning something new brings is its own kind of dopamine hit.

Figuring it out is the most exhilarating game ever. And I realized, that’s what creating a business and brand from scratch feels like, an endless game of figuring it out and asking questions (specially the dumb ones!).

So my Chismosas, make sure you question everything, you never know what you might learn!
